Men whose hemoglobin level is less than 12.5g/dL and women whose hemoglobin level is less than 12g/dL should never donate their blood.

Reason:

When red blood cells are not produced in sufficient quantity inside the body, then due to the same reason, there is a deficiency of hemoglobin, which later takes the form of anemia. Anemia is a serious disease in itself and it should be treated at the right time. Women are especially prone to low hemoglobin or anemia, in such a condition, if you donate your blood to someone else, then there will be more iron deficiency in your body, due to which you feel very tired and weak. In some special circumstances, it can even lead to the death of the patient. So don’t make the mistake of ignoring it as a common problem.

Treatment of low hemoglobin level:

In such a situation, you should take multivitamin tablets and iron supplements after consulting your doctor to increase hemoglobin. Apart from this, you will also have to bring a lot of changes to your diet. Such as increasing the number of fruits and green vegetables in the daily diet. Fruits like pomegranate, beetroot, and carrot are very helpful in increasing hemoglobin, consume them regularly and keep blood tests done at regular intervals.
